Schedule and repeat posts
On this page
Every post in the composer either goes out Now or Later. A Later post can also repeat on its own, for example every weekday at 9:00, and Robopost can reword it each time so it never looks copied.
You need: a post open in the composer with its channels picked.
Schedule a post for a date and time
- In the Schedule card, select Later.
- Check the Timezone. Change it first if needed.
- Click the date field, pick a day and a time.
- Click Schedule Post.
The post appears in Scheduled posts, in the list and on the calendar. You can't pick a date in the past.
Which timezone does the composer use?
- A new post starts in the timezone of the computer you're using.
- If a selected channel has Enable Timezone Control turned on in its channel settings, the composer switches to that channel's timezone.
- When you edit a scheduled post, it keeps the timezone it was scheduled in.
Tip
Changing the timezone after you picked a time keeps the same moment and shows it in the new timezone. Set the timezone first, then pick the time.
Repeat a post on a schedule
- In the Schedule card, select Later and pick the date and time of the first post.
- Turn on Recurring post?.
- Pick an Interval (see the table below).
- Optional: turn on Recurring until a specified date? and pick the last date. Without it, the post repeats until you stop it.
- Click Schedule Post.
| Interval | When it publishes |
|---|---|
| Every day, at specific time slots | Every day at each hour you pick under Time Slots (for example 9:00 and 18:00) |
| Every week, at specific time slots | At each day-and-time pair you add, such as Monday 9:00 and Thursday 17:30 |
| Every 3 hours, Every 6 hours, Every 12 hours | That many hours after the previous one |
| Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly | Same time each day, same weekday each week, same date each month or year |
For Every week, at specific time slots, click the Weekly Time Slots field to open Add a Weekly Time Slot, pick a Day of the Week and a Time of the Day, and click Add. Repeat for each slot.
Reword the post or change its image each time
Two switches appear under a recurring post:
- Rephrase post after first iteration using AI: from the second time on, AI rewrites the text in the tone you pick. Use it on networks that reject repeated text, such as X.
- Generate a new image after first iteration using AI: from the second time on, AI creates a fresh image. Pick the AI Model. See AI images.
How a recurring post shows up
A recurring post is one entry in Scheduled posts, marked with its interval (for example Recurring daily). Each time it publishes, the published copy goes to Published posts and the next occurrence takes its place in Scheduled posts.
To see only recurring posts, open Filters in Scheduled posts, set Recurring Posts Only to Yes and click Search.
Change or stop a recurring post
- Open the post from Scheduled posts. You can't drag a recurring post on the calendar.
- Change the interval or the end date, or turn off Recurring post? to stop it after the next one.
- Click Update Scheduled Post.
To stop it right away, delete the scheduled entry. Posts already published stay published.
Reschedule several posts at once
In Scheduled posts, tick the posts, then open Actions → Edit schedule. In Set Schedule, choose Now or Later, set the date and the recurrence, and click Confirm. See Manage scheduled posts.
Add the same closing line to every post
To end every post from a channel with the same text (a signature, a call to action, your hashtags), set a Post Signature in the channel's settings. Robopost adds it at the end of each post that channel publishes. For reusable text you place yourself, use Short codes.
