Generate AI images

Describe the picture you want and Robopost generates it. You can do this while writing a post, in your Media library, or let Robopost add an AI image to every post idea or automated post.
You need: a short description of the image you want.
Add an AI image to a post
- In the composer, click the image button (Insert Image). The Upload Files window opens.
- Click the AI Generator tab.
- Choose an AI Model: Z Image (the default) or FLUX.
- In Prompt, describe the image, for example "a cup of coffee on a wooden table by a rainy window, warm light."
- Click Generate Image. The image appears under Generated Images, already selected.
- Generate more if you like, and click any image to select or unselect it.
- Click Use Selected to add the selected images to your post.
Each click on Generate Image creates one square image. Images you generate are also saved to your Media library.
Tip
Name the subject, the setting, the light and the style ("flat illustration", "studio photo", "watercolor"). Short, concrete prompts give the most predictable results.
Generate images in the Media library
Click Content → Media (open it), then Upload / Create media, and use the AI Generator tab the same way. The images are saved to your library for later posts.
Which AI model should I use?

Both create square images from your prompt. The quickest way to choose is to run the same prompt with each model and keep the one you like.
Robopost used to offer DALL·E and three FLUX.1 versions (pro, dev and schnell). They're no longer available: anything set to one of the FLUX.1 versions now uses FLUX, and anything set to DALL·E now uses Z Image.
Choose an image style
Post ideas and automations add an Image Style to the prompt Robopost writes for the image:
Default, Realism, Impressionism, Surrealism, Abstract, Art Nouveau, Cubism, Pop Art, Futurism, Fantasy Concept Art, Minimalism, Watercolor, Gothic Medieval Art, Anime and Comic.
In the composer's AI Generator, describe the style in your prompt instead.

For post ideas and automations, Robopost writes the image prompt for you from the text of the post.
Can I generate any image?
Robopost keeps every image safe for work: prompts that ask for nudity or explicit content are rewritten into a tasteful, fully clothed scene before the image is made.

Why did my image fail?
- Please enter a prompt: the Prompt box is empty.
- Failed to generate image. Please try again.: the generator couldn't finish. Try again, or reword the prompt.
