Manage scheduled posts

On this page

Everything waiting to be published is in Posts → Scheduled posts (Scheduled posts). You can browse it as a list or a calendar, edit any post, move it, copy it or delete it.

You need: at least one scheduled post. See Create a post.

See your upcoming posts

The page has two tabs:

  • List shows posts in the order they will publish, next one first. Below the posts, Upcoming collection schedules shows when your collections will post next. The post a collection publishes is picked at that moment, so these slots show the collection, not a post.
  • Calendar shows posts and collection slots by month, week or day. Use the arrows to move between periods and the today button to come back. When a day holds more than three posts, click the "more" link under them to see the rest.

A post sent to several channels appears once per channel.

Find a post with filters

Click Filters to expand them. You can combine:

  • Search (words in the post text)
  • Post Tags, Social Networks, Channels, Channel Categories
  • Recurring Posts Only
  • From Date and To Date

Click Search to apply, Reset to clear.

Edit a scheduled post

  1. Click the post in the list, or click it on the calendar (it opens in a new tab).
  2. The composer opens with This post is set to be published on: and the date at the top.
  3. Change the text, media, network settings or schedule.
  4. Click Update Scheduled Post.

You can't change the channel of a scheduled post: the channel card is locked. To post it somewhere else, use Copy to draft and edit (below), pick the new channels in the draft, and schedule it.

To turn the post back into a draft without publishing it, click Revert as Draft. The Discussion tab holds your team's comments on the post.

Move a post to another date

  • On the calendar: drag the post to a new day or time. Robopost saves the new time at once.
  • From the list: open the post's ⋮ menu, choose Edit schedule, set the new date and click Confirm.

You can't drag a post into the past, and you can't drag a recurring post or a recurring collection. Open it and change its schedule in the composer instead. See Schedule and repeat posts.

Copy a post

Open the post's ⋮ menu:

  • Copy to draft saves a copy in Draft posts and leaves the scheduled post as it is.
  • Copy to draft and edit does the same and opens the copy, ready to change.
  • Copy to collection adds a copy to one or more collections.

Delete a scheduled post

  • One post: open the ⋮ menu and choose Delete, or open the post and use More actions → Delete Post. Confirm with Yes.
  • Several posts: see the next section.

A deleted scheduled post is never published. Deleting the scheduled entry of a recurring post stops the whole series.

Work on many posts at once

  1. Tick the checkbox on each post you want.
  2. Open Actions in the bar at the bottom of the page.
  3. Choose an action:
Action What it does
Select All / Unselect All Tick or untick every post loaded in the list
Edit schedule Give all selected posts a new date, or post them now, and set a recurrence
Copy to collection Add copies to a collection
Copy to draft Save copies as drafts
Delete Delete the selected posts

When does a scheduled post publish?

At its scheduled time, Robopost sends it to the network. It usually appears there within a few minutes. While posts are being sent, the page shows We are currently posting … post(s)..., then Posting is completed. with a Refresh the page link. The post is then in Published posts.

A post can wait a little longer when the channel has reached its daily posting limit: it stays in Scheduled posts and publishes once the channel is back under the limit. See Posting limits.
