Post from a Squarespace blog

On this page

A Squarespace automation shares each new post from one of your Squarespace blog pages on your social channels.

You need: the address of your Squarespace blog page and at least one connected channel. The site must be public: a site-wide password or a password-protected page blocks Robopost.

Set up a Squarespace automation

  1. Click Posts → Automations (open it), then New Automation.
  2. Enter an Automation name and choose Squarespace in Automation Type.
  3. In URL, paste the address of the blog page, for example https://your-site.com/blog. Robopost reads its feed at that address plus ?format=rss.
  4. Choose how the text is written: a Post Template or Let AI generate the post text.
  5. Choose the image, Post To and For Channels, then click Create Automation.

If your site has several blog pages, create one automation for each.

Which settings can I use?

The same as an RSS automation: the post template, AI captions, the image, links on X and Smart Filtering.

What do the posts look like?

Each new blog post becomes one social post with your template or AI caption, a link to the post and its main image. X and Bluesky get a shortened caption when AI writes it, and Google Business Profile gets a Learn more button.

Troubleshoot a Squarespace automation

"Please check your URL". Open https://your-site.com/blog?format=rss in your browser, using your blog page's address. If you don't see a list of posts, check that the address is a blog page (not the home page or another page type) and that the page isn't password-protected.

Nothing is posted. See Why isn't my automation posting?
