Post from WordPress or Ghost

On this page

A WordPress or Ghost Blog automation shares each new article from your blog on your social channels. You paste your site's normal address; Robopost finds the feed.

You need: your blog's address, a feed that is publicly reachable, and at least one connected channel.

Note

This reads articles from your blog. To publish posts to a WordPress site, connect it as a channel instead: see Connect WordPress.

Set up a WordPress automation

  1. Click Posts → Automations (open it), then New Automation.
  2. Enter an Automation name and choose WordPress in Automation Type.
  3. In URL, paste your site's address, for example https://your-site.com. Robopost reads the feed at that address plus /feed (https://your-site.com/feed). If you paste the feed address itself, that works too.
  4. Choose how the text is written: a Post Template or Let AI generate the post text.
  5. Choose the image, Post To and For Channels, then click Create Automation.

Set up a Ghost automation

Follow the same steps with Ghost Blog as the Automation Type. In URL, paste your Ghost site's address, for example https://your-site.com or https://your-blog.ghost.io. Robopost reads the feed at that address plus /rss.

Which settings can I use?

WordPress and Ghost automations have the same settings as an RSS automation. The ones you'll use most:

What do the posts look like?

Each new blog post becomes one social post: your template or AI caption, a link to the article and the article's main image. Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads and the other networks get the full text, X and Bluesky get a shortened version when AI writes the caption, and Google Business Profile gets a Learn more button to the article.

Tip

Want to republish your WordPress articles on a second WordPress site? Add that site as a channel in For Channels and switch on Let AI generate the post text: Robopost writes a full article with its own title for it.

Troubleshoot a blog automation

"Please check your URL". Open the feed in your browser: https://your-site.com/feed for WordPress, https://your-site.com/rss for Ghost. If it doesn't open, a plugin, a maintenance page or a login wall may be hiding it. Fix that first, then create the automation again.

The blog lives in a folder. If your blog is at https://your-site.com/blog, paste that address. If Robopost still can't find the feed, use an RSS Feed automation with the exact feed address instead.

Nothing happens after I publish. Robopost checks about every 10 minutes and only sees articles once they appear in the public feed. For more checks, see Why isn't my automation posting?
