Connect Threads
On this page
You need: the Instagram username and password of the account your Threads profile belongs to.
Connect a Threads profile
- If you're signed in to Instagram or Threads in this browser with a different account, log out first.
- Go to Channels → Connect channel and click Threads.
- Threads opens. Log in with the Instagram account of the Threads profile you want.
- Threads shows what Robopost is asking for: your profile, publishing posts, reading and managing replies, reading insights, and deleting posts. Allow them all.
You're sent back to Robopost with "Successfully connected". The profile is listed in Channels → Channels.
Connect more than one Threads profile
Threads keeps you signed in, so the second time it may connect the same profile again.
- Log out of Instagram and Threads in your browser, or open a private (incognito) window.
- Repeat the steps above with the next account.
Troubleshooting
"This channel already exists"
Threads signed you in with a profile that's already connected. Click Log out from Threads, log out there, then try again. A private window avoids the problem.
"Connect error. There was an issue while trying to connect your account."
You cancelled, or Threads refused the request. Try again and allow every permission.
Posts to Threads started failing
The connection may have expired, for example after an Instagram password change. See Reconnect a channel.
