Plan usage and limits
On this page
The Plan Usage page shows, for each limit of your plan, how much you've used and how much is left. Monthly allowances start again at the date shown next to Resets.
You need: the Admin or Manage Billing right. Other members see "Ask your team administrator to view plan usage."
Check your usage
- In the sidebar, under Account, click Plan Usage. You can also click See Plan Usage on the Subscription page.
- Each card shows what you've used against your limit, a percentage, and how many remain. Monthly marks the allowances that reset each period.
- The chip at the top, Resets followed by a date, is when the monthly allowances start again. Click the round arrow next to it to refresh the numbers.
A card warns Nearing your limit at 80% and Limit reached at 100%.
When does my monthly usage reset?
| Your plan | Monthly allowances reset |
|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | On your renewal date, at the start of each billing period |
| Yearly subscription, Lifetime Deal or Free plan | Every 4 weeks (28 days), counted from your last payment, or from when the team was created if it never paid |
Sub teams follow the period of the team that pays for them. The exact date is always on Plan Usage, next to Resets.
What counts toward each limit
| Limit | What counts | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Channels | Channels connected to the team | No |
| Scheduled Posts | Posts published during the period | Yes |
| Team Members | People in the team, you included | No |
| Media | Files in the team's Media | No |
| Automations | Automations set up in the team | No |
| AI Credits | Runs of AI post idea generation | Yes |
| Generated Faceless Videos | Faceless videos finished | Yes |
| Captioned Videos | Videos captioned successfully | Yes |
| Long to Shorts Videos | Long-to-shorts videos finished | Yes |
A scheduled post counts once it's published, one per channel: a post sent to three channels counts three times. Drafts, posts still waiting in the queue and failed posts don't count. X posts also use X credits, which work separately. See X credits.
The numbers for each plan are on Plans and billing.
What happens when I reach a limit?
- When you add something over a limit, such as a channel, a file or a team member, Robopost shows Plan Limit Hit, or a message with your limit and your current count. Outside sub teams, Upgrade my plan takes you to the plans.
- When your monthly Scheduled Posts run out, posts that come due aren't published. Each one fails with a message that you've reached your usage limit, and the team gets a "Usage Limit Reached" email, at most once a day. Reschedule those posts after the reset or after you upgrade. See Why did my post fail?
- When a monthly video allowance runs out, you can't generate more of that kind of video until the reset. For faceless videos, purchased credits keep you going (see below).
Posting and scheduling are also disabled, with Account frozen or a similar message, when the free trial has ended, a payment failed or the subscription is inactive.
Buy extra video credits
- On Plan Usage, find the Generated Faceless Videos card and click Buy Credits.
- In Buy Faceless Video Credits, choose Buy 10 Credits or Buy 200 Credits and pay on Stripe's checkout page.
Purchased credits carry over from one period to the next. The card shows them as "Includes … unused purchased credits, which carry over." You can buy credits only from the team that pays for the plan, not from a sub team.
Usage in sub teams
On the team that pays, Plan Usage covers that team and all its sub teams ("All account teams"). Channels, members, media and automations are counted per team; monthly allowances are one shared pool.
In a sub team, Plan Usage shows that team's own usage against the limits set for it. When the shared pool runs low, the card says how much is left in it. See Set usage limits for a sub team.
Are there file size limits?
Your plan limits how many files you keep in Media (5 on the Free plan, unlimited on paid plans), not how large they are. Each network has its own limits on file size, dimensions and video length. See Media.
