Schedule your first post

On this page

You need: at least one connected channel. If you don't have one yet, connect your first channel.

Write and schedule the post

  1. In the sidebar, click Posts → New post.
  2. Under Quick Start, click Simple Post.
  3. Under Select channels, click each channel you want to post to. A check mark shows it's selected. Type in the search box to find a channel quickly.
  4. Under Content, write your text. Use the toolbar to add an image, a video or a GIF. Some networks add their own fields once you select them (a Pinterest title, a YouTube title, and so on): see Network options.
  5. Under Schedule, choose Later.
  6. Check the Timezone, then click Select a date and pick the day and time.
  7. Click Schedule Post.

You'll see "Posts successfully scheduled". Click View Scheduled Posts to see it.

Important

Schedule starts on Now. If you click Schedule Post without switching to Later, Robopost publishes right away.

Tip

The composer starts in your browser's time zone. If a channel has its own time zone in its channel settings, the Timezone field switches to it when you select that channel.

Find it in the calendar

  1. Click Posts → Scheduled posts.
  2. Open the Calendar tab to see your posts by day, or the List tab for a list.
  3. Click a post to open it and change the text, media or time.

When the time comes, Robopost publishes the post and moves it to Posts → Published posts. It can take a few minutes for it to show on the network.

Other things you can do from the composer

  • Save Post as Draft keeps the post without scheduling it. Find it in Posts → Draft posts.
  • See a Preview shows roughly how the post will look.
  • Recurring post? under Schedule repeats the post at an interval you choose.

If it doesn't work

  • No channels under Select channels. You'll see "Please connect a channel." Connect one first, or ask an Admin to give you access to the team's channels.
  • Schedule Post is grayed out. Your role doesn't include the Schedule Posts right. Ask a team Admin.
  • The post is still in Scheduled posts after its time. The channel may have reached its daily limit. Robopost holds the post and publishes it once the channel is back under its limit: see Posting limits.
  • The post failed. Open it from Published posts to read the error, then see Why did my post fail?

Note

Posting to X (formerly Twitter) uses X credits: 1 for a post without a link, 14 with a link. See X credits.
