# Hashtag groups

A hashtag group is a named set of hashtags, such as "#coffee #barista #latte", that you can drop into any
post. The composer can also suggest hashtags with AI.

**You need:** the **Manage Hashtags** right (or **Admin**) to manage groups under **Tools → Hashtags**.

## Create a hashtag group

1. In the sidebar, open **Tools → Hashtags** ([Hashtags](https://dash.robopost.app/post-hashtag-groups)).
2. Click **New Post Hashtag Group**.
3. Enter a **Group Name**.
4. In **Hashtags**, type the hashtags separated by spaces, each starting with `#`, for example
   `#marketing #social #content`.
5. Click **Create Post Hashtag Group**.

## Add hashtags to a post

1. In the [composer](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/create-a-post.md), click **Insert Hashtag** (the **#** button) under the text.
2. Pick a tab:
   - **AI Suggestions**: hashtags the AI suggests from your text and your first image.
   - **Hashtag Groups**: pick one or more saved groups. Click **+** to create a group on the spot.
3. Click **Confirm**.

The hashtags are added at the end of your text. Edit them there like any other text.

> **Tip:** To add hashtags without crowding the caption, put them in the first comment with
> **Add first comment**. See [Network options](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/network-options.md#add-a-first-comment).

## Edit or delete a group

On the [Hashtags](https://dash.robopost.app/post-hashtag-groups) page:

- Click **Edit** on the group's card, change it and click **Update Post Hashtag Group**.
- To delete it, open the card's **⋮** menu, choose **Delete** and confirm with **Yes**. Posts that already use
  its hashtags keep them.
