# Collections

A collection is a pool of ready-made posts. Turn on regular posting and Robopost publishes one post from
the pool at each time slot, picked at random or in the order you set. Use it for evergreen content: tips,
quotes, product highlights, reminders.

**You need:** the **Manage Post Collections** right (or **Admin**) to see **Collections** in the sidebar.

## Create a collection

1. In the sidebar, click **Posts → Collections** ([Collections](https://dash.robopost.app/post-collections)).
2. Click **New post collection**.
3. Enter a **Collection name** and pick a **Color**. The color marks the collection in your lists.
4. Leave **Regularly post from the collection?** off for now if the collection is still empty.
5. Click **Add collection**.

The collection's page opens. Its posts are listed under **Posts from the collection**.

## Add posts to a collection

- **From the composer**: write the post, pick its channels, then choose **More actions → Add to collection**,
pick the collection and click **Add to collection**.
- **From existing posts**: in Scheduled, Published or Draft posts, use **Copy to collection** on one post or
  on several selected posts.
- **From a CSV file**: choose **Post Collection** as the import destination. See
[Import posts from a CSV file](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/csv-bulk-import.md).

Each post keeps the channels you picked for it. When the collection publishes that post, it goes to those
channels.

## Publish from a collection on a schedule

1. Open the collection from [Collections](https://dash.robopost.app/post-collections).
2. Turn on **Regularly post from the collection?**.
3. Pick a **Posting Strategy**:
   - **A random post in each iteration.**
   - **Post in order. Restart from the beginning once all posts are exhausted.**
   - **Post in order. Wait until the next post once all posts are exhausted.** Here you can also turn on
**Delete post after posting**, so each post is used only once.
4. Set the **Timezone**, the **Next posting date** (the first post) and the **Posting interval**. The
intervals are the same as for [recurring posts](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/schedule-and-repeat.md#repeat-a-post-on-a-schedule),
   including time slots.
5. Optional: turn on **Post until a specified date** and pick the end date.
6. Optional: turn on **Rephrase post on every iteration using AI** and pick a tone. From the second round on,
AI rewrites the text each time it posts.
7. Click **Update collection**.

Upcoming collection slots appear on the calendar and under **Upcoming collection schedules** in
[Scheduled posts](https://dash.robopost.app/posts-scheduled). The post is picked when the slot comes, so the slot shows the
collection, not a post.

To pause the collection, turn off **Regularly post from the collection?** and click **Update collection**.

## Change the order of the posts

With an in-order strategy and regular posting on, each post in **Posts from the collection** shows its
position (for example **#3**). The one that goes out next is marked **Next post**.

- Use the up and down arrows to move a post.
- Click **Designate as next post** to make a post go out next.

## Edit or schedule a single post from the collection

Click a post in **Posts from the collection**. The composer opens with
**This post is a member of the collection** at the top.

- **Save post in collection** saves your changes.
- **Schedule Post** also schedules this post on its own, now or at a date you pick. It stays in the
  collection.

## Share a collection with your brands

On the Agency plan, the collection form has a **Share to teams** field. Pick the brands (sub-teams) that
should see the collection and click **Update collection**. Every post you add later is shared too.

In a brand, the shared collections are on the **Shared with my team** tab of [Collections](https://dash.robopost.app/post-collections).
The brand opens the collection, then clicks **Copy to draft and edit** on a post to get its own draft, which
it can change and schedule on its own channels.

## Delete a collection

In [Collections](https://dash.robopost.app/post-collections), open the collection card's menu, choose **Delete Collection** and
confirm with **Yes**.
