# Welcome to Robopost

Robopost publishes to your social media accounts for you. Write a post once, pick the accounts it goes to and
the time, and Robopost posts it, even when you're offline. You can also have Robopost share every new blog
article or product automatically, and use AI to write posts, images and short videos.

Robopost publishes to Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn profiles and Pages,
Pinterest boards, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Telegram channels and WordPress sites.
Facebook Groups are supported through WhatsApp and SMS reminders.

## The five ideas behind Robopost

| Idea | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **Team** | Your workspace. It holds your channels, posts, members and plan |
| **Channel** | One connected account: a Facebook Page, an Instagram account, a Pinterest board, a WordPress site |
| **Post** | Text and media, the channels it goes to, and when |
| **Collection** | A set of posts Robopost can publish again and again on a schedule |
| **Automation** | A rule that creates posts for you, for example from your blog's RSS feed |

### Team (and brands)

Everything you do happens inside a team. When you sign up, Robopost creates one for you. Invite colleagues to it
and choose what each person can do: see [Invite your team](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/get-started/invite-your-team.md).

If you manage several businesses or clients, each one can be a separate brand with its own channels and posts.
Switch between them with the team switcher at the top of the sidebar. See
[Brands and sub-teams](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/account/brands-and-sub-teams.md).

### Channel

A channel is a single place Robopost can publish to. One Facebook login can give you several channels, one per
Page you manage. Each Pinterest board is its own channel, and so is each Google Business Profile location.
Your plan sets how many channels you can connect: see [Connect a channel](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/channels/connect-a-channel.md).

### Post

A post is what you write in the composer: text, images or a video, the channels it goes to, and a time. Robopost
keeps it in **Scheduled posts** until it's published, then moves it to **Published posts**. Posts you're not ready
to schedule are kept in **Draft posts**. See [Create a post](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/create-a-post.md).

### Collection

A collection is a library of posts, such as evergreen tips or product highlights, that Robopost publishes on a
schedule you set, in order or at random. See [Collections](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/posts/collections.md).

### Automation

An automation watches a source (an RSS feed, a WordPress or Ghost blog, a Shopify or WooCommerce store, or
another channel) and turns each new item into a post. See
[Automations overview](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/automations/automations-overview.md).

## Where things are

The sidebar on the left is grouped into sections. You only see the items your role allows.

| Section | What you'll find there |
| --- | --- |
| **Posts** | **New post**, **Post Ideas by AI**, **Scheduled posts**, **Published posts**, **Draft posts**, **Collections**, **Automations**, **Posts Analytics**, **Social Inbox**, and **Tools** (**Tags**, **Hashtags**, **Short Codes**, **Contacts**) |
| **Channels** | **Connect channel**, **Channels**, **Categories** |
| **Content** | **Media**, **Canva Designs**, **Videos by AI**, **AI Assets**, **Short URLs** |
| **Account** | **Subscription**, **Plan Usage**, **Storage retention**, **Profile**, **Team** |

The menu under your avatar in the top-right corner has shortcuts to **Profile**, **Team**, **Subscription** and
**Log out**.

> **Tip:** After you log in, Robopost opens **New post**. Start there whenever you want to write something.
