# Invite your team

**You need:** the **Admin** or **Manage Team Members** right, and a plan with room for team members (Basic and up;
on the Free and Starter plans the only member is you).

## Invite a team member

1. Go to **Account → [Team](https://dash.robopost.app/team)**.
2. In the members card, click **Invite Member**.
3. Enter their **Email**.
4. Under **Member Permissions**:
   - **Team Member Rights**: what they can do. A new invite starts with posting, approving, scheduling and
content rights already selected; billing, team-member and team-settings rights are left out. Add **Admin**
     to give full access.
   - **Can access channels**: the channels they can post to. All channels are selected to start with. Admins
     always get every channel.
5. Click **Invite**. You'll see "Invitation sent".

They get an email titled "You are invited to join …". When they click **Join**, they sign in (or create an
account) and land in your team.

## See and cancel invitations

Click **Sent Invitations** next to **Invite Member**. Each invitation shows **Pending** until it's accepted.
Click **Revoke** to cancel one.

## Change what someone can do

In the member list, edit the member to change their **Team Member Rights** or **Can access channels**, then click
**Update**.

| Right | Lets them |
| --- | --- |
| **Admin** | Do everything, on every channel |
| **Schedule Posts** | Schedule and publish posts |
| **Edit Posts** / **Approve Posts** | Edit posts, and approve drafts sent for approval |
| **Manage Channels** | Connect, refresh and disconnect channels |
| **Manage Billing** | See plans and usage, change the subscription |

Every right, and how approvals work: [Team members and roles](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/account/team-members-and-roles.md).

> **Tip:** Need someone outside your team to connect their own social account, without giving you their
> password? Use **Request channel connection** on the **Connect channel** screen instead. See
> [Connect a channel](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/channels/connect-a-channel.md#let-someone-else-connect-their-account).

## If it doesn't work

- **Invite Member is grayed out.** You don't have the **Admin** or **Manage Team Members** right.
- **"Plan Limit Hit".** Your plan has no room for more members. Upgrade in **Account → Subscription**.
- **They didn't get the email.** Ask them to check spam, then look in **Sent Invitations**: if it's still
**Pending**, revoke it and invite them again.
- **"Invitation is invalid".** The invitation was revoked or already used. Send a new one.
