# Use your own domain

With your own domain, your clients open the app and log in at an address like `app.youragency.com`, with your logo
on the login page, instead of on dash.robopost.app.

**You need:** the Agency plan or the Lifetime Deal Agency, the **Admin** or **Manage Team Properties** right on your
agency team, and access to your domain's DNS settings.

## Set up your domain

1. At your domain registrar or DNS host, create a **CNAME** record for the domain you want to use, for example
`app.youragency.com`, pointing to `stackf.ovh`. Save it.
2. In Robopost, switch to your agency team. In the sidebar, under **Account**, click **Team**.
3. Expand **White labeling settings** and click **Setup custom domain**.
4. In **Request Custom Domain**, enter your domain, for example `app.youragency.com`, and click **Confirm**.

Robopost checks your CNAME record. When it's found, you see "Your request for domain … was registered successfully.
Please allow 24H to take effect." The settings then show "Custom domain name requested. Please allow 24H to take
effect."

When your domain is ready, **White labeling settings** shows **Your Domain Name** with a link to it.

> **Tip:** Use a subdomain such as `app.` or `social.`. Most DNS providers don't allow a CNAME record on a root domain
> like `youragency.com`.

## Why can't Robopost verify my domain?

"We couldn't verify your domain" means Robopost couldn't find a CNAME record for that domain pointing to
`stackf.ovh`.

- **The record is new:** DNS changes can take several hours to spread. Wait and click **Confirm** again.
- **The record is wrong:** it must be a CNAME record, not an A record, and its target must be exactly `stackf.ovh`.
- **The domain is typed differently:** enter only the domain name, without `https://` or a path, and the same name
you used in the DNS record.

## What changes on your domain

- The login page shows your software logo and no link to create an account.
- **Sign in with Google** appears unless you turn off **Allow Google sign-in on custom domain** in
  **White labeling settings**.
- Invitations you send from your agency team or its sub teams link to your domain.
- People who log in there land in the team of yours they belong to.
- Someone who creates an account on your domain without an invitation gets a new sub team of their own under your
  agency team, as its admin.
- The documentation is available at `/docs` on your domain.

## Change or remove your domain

Once you've requested a domain, the **Setup custom domain** button is gone. To change or remove the domain,

Short links use their own domain, set separately under **Short URL Settings**. See
