# Redeem a code

You redeem a promotion or coupon code on Stripe's checkout page, at the moment you pay for a plan or a Lifetime
Deal. The discount shows in the total before you pay.

**You need:** a Robopost account (sign up first if you don't have one), the **Admin** or **Manage Billing** right on
the team you're buying for, and your code.

## Apply your code

1. Log in. If you have several teams, use the team switcher at the top of the sidebar to open the team that should
   get the plan.
2. In the sidebar, under **Account**, click **Subscription**.
3. Pick what the code is for:
   - A monthly or yearly plan: turn on **Yearly** if needed, then click **Subscribe Now!** on the plan.
   - A Lifetime Deal: scroll to **Lifetime Deals. Pay once and use forever.** and click **Buy** on the deal.
4. On Stripe's checkout page, open the promotion code field, paste your code and apply it. The price drops.
5. Finish the payment.

You return to **Subscription** and see "Thank you for subscribing!" For a Lifetime Deal, the top card says
"You have purchased …, which comes without any restrictions on time."

> **Tip:** The plan goes to the team you were in when you clicked **Subscribe Now!** or **Buy**. Check the team name
> at the top of the page before you start.

## The code isn't accepted

- Paste the code again without spaces before or after it.
- Make sure you picked the plan or deal the code was issued for.
- If Stripe still rejects it, [contact support](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/help/contact-support.md) with the code and the plan you chose.

## You bought a Lifetime Deal on a partner's page

If you paid for a Lifetime Deal on a partner's checkout page rather than inside Robopost, use the email address you
paid with:

- **You already have an account with that email:** the deal goes to the team you had open in Robopost.
- **You don't have an account yet:** sign up with that email address, and the deal is applied to your new team.

Robopost also sends a login link to that email address.

## Sub teams

You can't buy plans from a sub team. Switch to the main team that pays for it first.
