# Delete your account

Deleting your account removes your login and takes you out of every team. Teams that would be left without an admin
are deleted with it.

**You need:** to be logged in. Before you start:

- Give another member **Admin** on every team you want to keep running. See
  [Team members and roles](https://dash.robopost.app/docs/account/team-members-and-roles.md).
- Download any post history or generated video you want to keep.

> **Tip:** To leave one team but keep your account, use **Leave** on that team's **Team** page instead. To stop
> paying but keep your account, cancel your subscription on the **Subscription** page.

## Delete your account

1. In the sidebar, under **Account**, click **Profile**.
2. Click **Delete my account**, below the **Update Password** card.
3. Read the dialog:
   - "Please assign an administrator to those teams before you can delete your account:" lists teams that still have
     members but no other admin. **Delete** stays disabled until you give someone **Admin** on each of them.
   - "Those teams will be deleted as no other people are in those teams:" lists the teams that will be deleted with
     your account.
   - "Do you really want to delete your account?"
4. Click **Delete**. You're logged out.

You can't undo this from the app.

## What happens to my teams and data?

- **Your login** is deleted, and you're removed from all your teams.
- **Teams with another admin** keep running. Their members, channels and posts stay.
- **Teams deleted with your account** are removed with their channels, posts, automations, media and categories. If
  such a team has a subscription, it's canceled. A team's plan, including a Lifetime Deal, ends with the team.
- **Posts already published on your social networks** stay there. Delete them on the network if you want them gone.
